How to report a bug
A good report lets us reproduce the problem on the first try. Include:
Your system and its version, e.g. “macOS 15.6” or “Windows 11 24H2”.
Your FlyingFiles version — you'll find it in the window title and in Help → About — and where you got the app (the
nci.plwebsite or Microsoft Store). What you did, step by step.
What happened and what you expected. Copy the text of the error message, or attach a screenshot of just the window.
For a server problem: the protocol (FTP, FTPS, SFTP), passive or active mode and, if you know it, the type of server or hosting.
For a copying problem: from where to where (disk, USB drive, network share, archive, server) and the approximate number of files. An excerpt of the
logs/transfers.loglog from the time of the problem helps (where to find it).
Warning: Never send passwords or private keys — they aren't needed to reproduce a problem. The transfer log masks passwords, but it contains server addresses, usernames and file paths. Remove anything you don't want to share. Don't send the
settings.tomlfile unless we ask for it.
